Today I want to address the diffrence in a humman genarated movie review  vs. a AI genarated movie review. So ive made my reveiw of the movie the lion king and I also had chat create one so let review them:                                                                  MY MOVIE REVIEW  The Lion King  has always been my favorite movie, and no matter how many times I watch it, it never loses its magic. From its unforgettable characters to its emotional story and beautiful animation, this film remains one of Disney’s greatest masterpieces. What makes  The Lion King  stand out is not just the adventure, but the powerful life lessons woven throughout the story. One of the biggest messages the movie teaches is that we can become anything we want to be. AI news article vs. real news article

In October 2025, the United States experienced the longest government shutdown in its history, lasting 43 days and affecting hundreds of thousands of federal workers. This event was widely covered in print media, providing an ideal opportunity to explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, such as ChatGPT, summarize major news stories compared to human journalists. The purpose of this exercise is to critically evaluate the accuracy, bias, and depth of AI-generated news summaries, and reflect on the implications of AI in journalism and media literacy, along with the reasons why one would chose one news platform over the other when it comes to AI genarated or human writen.  AI-Generated Summary The AI-generated summary (OpenAI, 2025) stated: "In October 2025, the U.S. federal government entered a shutdown because Congress did not agree on funding before the fiscal year began. The shutdown lasted 43 days, making it the longest in U.S. history. Federal workers were furloughed or w...

Textbooks vs Ebooks

I recently ran a simple poll on Instagram asking my friends and followers whether they prefer traditional textbooks or ebooks for their college classes. I let it run for 24 hours, expecting a tight race, but the results leaned in one clear direction. When the poll closed,   60 percent preferred ebooks , while  40 percent chose traditional textbooks. While the split wasn’t extreme, it showed a noticeable shift toward digital reading one that reflects the growing trend across the broader ebook industry. Over the past decade, ebooks have expanded from a convenience option to a major part of academic publishing. According to data from the Pew Research Center (2023), digital reading has increased steadily among college-age adults, driven by affordability, portability, and the availability of reading apps on nearly every device. For students juggling multiple classes, the ability to carry an entire semester’s worth of material on a phone or tablet often outweighs the comfort of pri...

How media shapes my everyday life

Image
In today's world, media isn't just something we consume; it's the environment we live in. Between endless social feeds, non-stop news cycles, and entertainment streaming at the tip of our thumbs, it's easy to underestimate just how much time we actually spend consuming media every day. For me, that number is about five hours daily. From scrolling TikTok, watching the news on TV, and catching NFL football games-especially the Pittsburgh Steelers media has become an ever present part of my daily rhythm. The more I reflect upon how the media influence me, the more one question is uppermost in my mind: why do I choose the media that I do? The Uses and Gratifications Theory helps explain this. This theory indicates that people actively seek out media for specific needs informing, entertaining, social connection, and personal identity. Instead of passive consumers, we are active participants in choosing what content fulfills us. Take TikTok, for instance. I scroll through vid...
